Both aloe vera and coconut oil have been widely used in treating many sorts of skin disorders, including dry skin, eczema, rashes or irritated skin. And these two are also popular ingredients in the commercial body lotions because of their excellent benefits for your skin:

Skin Benefits of Aloe Vera:

Aloe vera gel is extremely beneficial for dry skin
Aloe vera prevents under-eye dark circles
With its anti-inflammatory properties, aloe vera helps in minimizing the swelling of the lips
Aloe vera lightens the skin and helps to alleviate sun tanning
Aloe vera improves the skin’s elasticity, therefore minimizing the appearance of wrinkles
Aloe vera also helps to reduce stretch marks by healing the wounds
Aloe vera can also reduce itchiness and blistering while helping to minimize the effects of skin problems including acne
And Coconut Oil:

The rich fatty acids in coconut oil help to prevent fungal infection on your skin
Coconut oil is a powerful moisturizer, it’s super good for dry skin
Coconut oil also helps to cure wrinkles because it’s packed with vitamin E
It’s also great for getting rid of acne and pimples
Coconut oil has wonderful antioxidant properties that protect the skin from free radical damage
Coconut oil can be used directly under their arms as a deodorant
It’s a good choice for massage
Coconut oil can be used as a make-up remover as well
They can be used on their own but have you thought about using both of them together at the same time? Following is a simple combination of these two great ingredients, it works and you will like it.

Make sure to use pure 100% aloe vera gel and organic virgin coconut oil as well.

Healing Coconut Oil and Aloe Vera Gel Lotion

Ingredients:

1/2 cup organic extra-virgin coconut oil
1/3 cup pure aloe vera gel
A few drops of essential oils

Directions:

Mix the coconut oil and aloe vera in a bowl (don’t melt the coconut oil as it will only whip up if it’s solid).
Whisk the mixture using an electric whisker for 5 to 10 minutes until whipped into a light, fluffy and airy consistency. In this process, you can add your essential oils.
Transfer the whipped mixture into a glass container and store at room temperature.
Note: A blender or food processor is not suitable for this recipe, because they tend to warm the oil too much and prevent it from whipping up.

Use it like any other moisturizing lotion and it is most effective when applied while your skin is still wet after bathing.
