Quercetin 300 mg 60 caps
Quercetin is an increasingly well-known plant compound with potent anti-inflammatory effects. The recent SARS-CoV-2 outbreak resulted in renewed research efforts focusing on its effects as a zinc-ionophore, increasing intracellular zinc concentrations and thus Quercetin working as an antiviral (1)
Quercetin Paper: Quercetin is a flavonoid (intermediate or end product of metabolism) that is found in abundance in fruits and vegetables and has been shown to be antiviral. Quercetin prevents heart disease and is used in the treatment of neurological diseases such as Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s. Quercetin confers protection against many diseases including cancer, diabetes, and arthritis.
Quercetin has demonstrated a high degree of antiviral and anti-inflammatory activity through an action that inhibits an enzyme needed by the virus to replicate. Flavonoids in general have anti-inflammatory effects, and quercetin in particular performs this action by neutralizing potentially damaging free radicals.
Quercetin also has antibacterial effects and reduces the development of atherosclerosis.
High quality quercetin, derived from a non-citrus plant source, stabilized with additional antioxidants so as not to auto-oxidize (degrade spontaneously).
Benefits:
Can help stabilize cell membranes, and support the integrity of mast cells
Provide nutritional support for the vascular system
Have gastro-protective and cardio-protective properties
Support normal function of the immune system
